September Powerful Word – DISCIPLINE – Week 4
This week we’re talking about what makes certain individuals/teams so successful. David Campbell once said; “Discipline is remembering what you want.” I’d like to put the stress on the word “you” in that quote. Sometimes we are swayed by others to consider goals (i.e. living vicariously) or engage in activities that don’t fulfill us (i.e. destructive, risky activities). How can pressure from peers, familiy members, or others knock you, your team or those you lead off track? Have you ever experienced this kind of pressure? This week, your Powerful Thought Assignment is to ensure that your goal ( or team goals) are inspired by you and your team rather than others who are not truly involved in the outcome. As a leader, what role do you play in this?
