June Powerful Word – Integrity – Week 3
This week, we’re talking about integrity and authenticity. John C. MacDonald once said; “Integrity is not a conditional word. It doesn’t blow in the wind or change with the weather. It is your inner image of yourself,” or, in other words, it is your authentic self. Young people (and some adults) must deal with the pressure to fit in while also being true to themselves. What advice would you have for young people who consistently feel that they must change who they are to feel liked, valued and admired by others? This week, your Powerful Thought Assignment is to get honest with yourself. Do you ever feel (or have you ever felt) that you compromise integrity for popularity? From where (and who) does that pressure stem?
