February POWerful Word – LOYALTY – Week 4
When we are loyal to the people, places and causes we care about, we keep our promises and commitments to them. What do keeping promises have to do with showing your loyalty?
What promises have you made to your parents or other family members? If you keep those promises, how does your family respond? If you break those promises, how does your family respond? What promises have you made to your friends? If you keep those promises, how do your friends respond? What happens to the friendship when we keep our promises? If you were to break those promises, how do you think your friends would respond? When it comes to this class and your school, what promises have you made (i.e. on time, practice, focus in class)? Is it important to be loyal to your school/class? Yes!
If you have time: What promises have other people made to you that show their loyalty (i.e. come and see you in your performance/event, stick up for you)?
