5-Week Fitness Challenge @ Home Workout #4B

Complete the following workout on Wednesday or Thursday:

Tabata Intervals of:

  • Push Ups
  • Squats

Tabata =  protocol developed by Dr. Izumi Tabata at the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Tokyo, Japan. It is an interval training cycle of 20 seconds of maximum intensity exercise, followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated without pause 8 times for a total of four minutes. So in today’s workout you will complete 8 x 20 seconds of push ups with 10 seconds rest in between each set of push ups. Then complete 8 x 20 seconds of squats with 10 seconds rest in between each set of squats. You can begin the squats immediately after your 8th set of the push ups (rest 10 seconds then 1st squat set) or you can rest for 1 minute and then begin your squats.
